The vaginal rejuvenation treatment, Femilift, has had a wonderful impact on the lives of many women. The results with Femilift are amazing and are present in such a little amount of time, but like any procedure, there are qualifications needed to be considered before having a Femilift.
It’s crucial to see if there is anything preventing you from having a Femilift done. Are you ready for some much-needed revitalization in your life? Here are some prerequisites for Femilift:
What is Femilift?
A Femilift uses a high-precision laser that applies thermal energy to the vaginal mucosa and revitalizes. The procedure starts by inserting a probe with a 360-degree rotation inside of the vagina. The probe will induce a tightening and lubricating effect. This procedure is minimally invasive and takes about five minutes. The results of a Femilift are immediate and doesn’t require anesthesia; the treatment is relatively painless.
A Femilift is used to improve feminine health issues such as vaginal dryness, laxity, and diminished sensation. These are all normal problems caused by aging, menopause, and childbirth.
Ideal Candidates for Femilift
The Femilift procedure is fairly new, and the relatively painless laser can show benefits in as little as a couple days. Many patient’s partners can tell the difference, however, many women are too uncomfortable discussing their desire to get a Femilift. We have put together a list of patients who are the best candidates for a Femilift:
- Menopausal patients who are suffering from vaginal dryness
- Cancer patients who have undergone premature menopause
- Patients who have given birth to children and are experiencing vaginal laxity and incontinence
- Patients who are not able to get estrogen therapy because of sensitive cancers
Can I Get a Femilift at any Age?
Not all women are the same – both young and old women may suffer from vaginal problems. A vaginal rejuvenation procedure will vary from age to age as some cannot be done on women of certain ages. Women that are younger than 40 or 50 may not qualify. The period for someone to get a Femilift done may vary, but a Femilift can be done after a woman gives birth.
Age doesn’t matter when it comes to vaginal problems and concerns. Vaginal problems may happen to women of any age after they have given birth. Don’t let vaginal problems keep you from enjoying sexual intimacy with your partner.
What is Your Situation?
If you are young and just gave birth and are now experiencing vaginal problems, you qualify for a Femilift. If you are a menopausal woman and menopause is affecting your sexual intimacy later in your life, you also qualify for a Femilift. A Femilift procedure may also benefit women who suffer from urinary incontinence. If you are dealing with urinary incontinence, the Femilift may prevent loss of urine due to laughing or coughing. The procedure may also help restore vaginal lubrication and elasticity.
Why Wouldn’t I Qualify?
There are a number of reasons one may not qualify for a Femilift. If you have a condition listed below and still decide to have a Femilift, it could have adverse results or may not be as effective. Ask your doctor if you are the right candidate for a Femilift.
Femilift Considerations
- If you have uncontrolled diabetes you are at risk for heart disease, heart attack, and stroke. Having a Femilift done may cause other risks to your health, no matter how safe it is. See a doctor to get your diabetes under control before considering a Femilift.
- If you have experienced complete pelvic organ prolapse, Femilift won’t be able to help your condition
- If you have Lupus you may also have photosensitivity. This is intolerance of UV rays or fluorescents. If you are taking medication to support photosensitivity you are not an ideal candidate for a Femilift
- If you have a transvaginal mesh or sling, undergone procedures for pelvic prolapse or urinary incontinence, ask your doctor if a Femilift will compromise your implant
- If there’s a chance you are at risk for cancer or other diseases, your doctor will help you through those treatments before considering Femilift
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, avoid having a Femilift. Your doctor will advise you to carry out your pregnancy to term and suggest waiting several weeks for your body to heal
- If you have a collagen disease, a Femilift is not for you. The laser procedure promotes and stimulates collagen production
- If you have active HPV or herpes viral infections, seek treatment for those first
- If you experience active vaginal discharge, bleeding or infection, you want to get treated for infections first. Also, if you are on your menstrual cycle, wait for it to be over before going in for a Femilift
- If you have undergone anticoagulant therapy, this may make you an undesirable candidate for a Femilift
- Are you treated for chronic corticoid therapies? This includes a steroid hormone given in order to decrease the immune response of your body
Before considering a Femilift, make sure you can follow the post-treatment instructions. These instructions include no sexual intercourse for four days after treatment and do not use tampons for three days. If you are unable to commit to these requirements, you may experience a less effective Femilift treatment followed by bleeding, fever or other undesirable side effects.
