Referrals

Thank you for sending your patients to Nevada Surgery and Cancer Care. At this time we would like to outline our referral and scheduling process for new patients. Please note we do not accept self-referrals. PLEASE DO NOT ADVISE YOUR PATIENTS TO CALL THE OFFICE. We offer two specialties in our practice: Gynecology Oncology and Colo-Rectal Surgery. Each provider is only in clinic two days a week:

Dr. Kowalski and Zanae Jones PA-C – Mondays and Thursdays

Dr. Wishnev – Monday and Wednesday

Dr. Zhang – Tuesday and Friday

Dr. Kowalski reviews all referrals. Once she approves the case, we will contact the patient to schedule their initial consultation.

If you are referring to Gyn Onc, please make sure the following records are sent to us:

• Referral
• 3 most recent office visit notes
• Labs preferably tumor markers such as CA 15-3, CA19-9, CA27-29, CA125 or CEA.
• Operative Reports
• Biopsy such as EMB or Cervical
• Imaging Reports (Pelvic Ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET)
• Most recent Pap Smear Reports

If you are referring to Colo-Rectal, please make sure the following records are sent to us: 

• Referral
• Most recent colonoscopy report and pathology report if applicable
• Most Cologuard result if applicable
• Any imaging, office notes, or operative notes related to the diagnosis they are being referred for
